Mountain High, Valley Low

A residential adventure retreat at

The Kepplewray Centre, Broughton-in-Furness LA20 6HE

27th to 30th August 2026

This retreat is an opportunity to come and experience some of the activities offered by the Kepplewray centre and to use them to allow God to speak to you. You will adventure on land and on water whilst reflecting on how God meets us both on the mountain tops of our lives and in the valleys.

1st to 3rd September 2026

Build your own retreat - attend as many or as few of the days as you need.

1st Sept - a reflective walk offers the chance to consider the foundations we hold onto when all around us is changing 

2nd Sept - an invitation to explore what God is doing while we wait for things to change through reflective craft

3rd Sept - an opportunity to walk and reflect on how to be on board when God is doing a new thing

An active retreat – challenging hill walks in the Autumnal Yorkshire Dales will provide opportunities for reflection and a vehicle for hearing God’s voice. Connect with the Creator through His creation: our walks will include gems Great Whernside and Malham Cove. Develop your ability to hear God to speak into your life through your everyday experiences.

Loved Beyond Measure

A creative residential retreat at Beechwood Court, CONWY, LL32 8PY

12th to 14th February 2027

Enjoy a weekend of reflective creativity exploring the truths in Ephesians 3:14-19, deepening our roots in God’s love so that we can stay strong. Willow weaving and whittling, amongst other crafts, will be used to help develop our understanding of the width, length, height and depth of the love of God for each one of us. All crafts are optional and no prior experience is
necessary. A Valentines retreat suitable for single people and for couples.

Walking into Life

An active, outdoor retreat – walks exploring the arrival of Spring in the Foxhill area offer space and time to reflect with God. With Spring firmly establishing itself, and just two weeks before we celebrate the resurrection, what better time to take to explore what God’s creation can teach us about the journey from death to life! Walks will be suitable for those with a moderate level of fitness or above.

New Life, New Creation

A residential walking retreat at Shallowford House, Stone, ST15 0NZ 

2nd to 4th April 2027

A weekend of walks in the countryside around Shallowford designed to help you spend time with God reflecting on the new life offered by Jesus' resurrection. You will enjoy the beauty of Spring present in the fields and hedgerows while developing a deeper understanding of new life God has given you. Walks will be suitable for walkers with a moderate level of fitness and above.

Peaks and Troughs

A residential walking retreat at Scargill House, Yorkshire, BD23 5HU 

10th to 14th May 2027

An active retreat – three day-long walks, each including one of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks offer you space and time to reflect with God. All walks are optional, but to get the most out of this this week, we anticipate that they will be most enjoyed by those who have already built up a good level of hill-walking fitness prior to the retreat. Connect with the Creator through His creation and develop your ability to hear God speak into your life through your everyday experiences.

Living Waters

A residential walking retreat at Scargill House, Yorkshire, BD23 5HU 

11th to 13th June 2027

An outdoor retreat of gentle water-themed walks in the Wharf Valley, providing space and time to reflect with God. Jesus' offer of living water to quench our thirst and meet the thirst of the world around us through us will come alive as we explore and experience the water works. Walks will be fairly easy but footpaths may be uneven in places.

Off the Beaten Track

A residential walking retreat at Scargill House, Yorkshire, BD23 5HU 

2nd to 4th July 2027

An invitation to develop your navigation skills and reflect with God on the parallels that can be drawn for navigating our own lives. Walks from Scargill will develop the navigation skills you already possess while also offering time to reflect on the experience with God. Build confidence in your map interpretation and compass use, leaving the well-trodden paths behind to consider how God guides us. Weather permitting, a night navigation session and the opportunity to wild camp above Scargill will also be offered.

Walking With Jesus

A creative residential retreat at Beechwood Court, CONWY, LL32 8PY

23rd to 27th August 2027

Enjoy a week of walks in the glorious beauty and variey of the North Wales countryside. Mirroring the way Jesus constantly drew lessons from the environments he walked through, we will pause to allow ourselves to reflect and allow God to speak through what we see and experience. Walks will be suitable for those of moderate fitness and above and some hills will be climbed!
